Dear Parents and guardians of Edna Staebler students,

“Change” has become a word that we use often at Edna Staebler, and the changes will continue into next year. Vista Hills, our new sister-school, will be opening up in September, and some of our students and staff will be calling that school home next year. I too will be moving on to different challenges at a new school next year. Starting in September I will be the vice-principal at Suddaby Public School in Kitchener.

It has been my pleasure to serve the Edna Staebler community these past four years, and it is with some sadness that I will be leaving. Thank you for trusting us with that which is most valuable to you: your children. It is our honour and privilege to share moments in their lives with them.

Knowing the staff who will remain at Edna Staebler, I am confident that I leave the school in good hands and that the children here will be looked after. I know that the students and families of Edna Staebler will welcome Sanj Sathiyamoorthy, the incoming vice-principal, with open arms. It also feels good to be confident that you all will continue to foster and promote the caring nature of this community, regardless of which school your children will be attending.

Thank you for all of the support that I have felt from the families of Edna Staebler over the years,

Jan Hansen, Vice-principal, Edna Staebler
