Hello Edna Staebler families and welcome to the 2019/20 school year!

Below you will find information regarding the first day of school on Tuesday, September 3rd including meeting locations, student entry (information and attached map) and our safe travel to school guide.

Safe Travel to School Guide

Along with our Edna Staebler Safe Travel Committee, we encourage our students to walk, bike or roll to school safely throughout the school year. To help encourage students and families to walk, bike or roll to school, we are kicking off our school year with a special guest! Chief Larkin from the Waterloo Region Police Services will be joining us on September 3 to help promote safe school travel. For more information on Safe School Travel in our Edna Staebler community, including school parking and parking lot expectations, please see the attached Safe Travel to School Guide.

Student Meeting Areas and Student Entry

Our Edna Staebler staff is looking forward to welcoming all our students and families on Tuesday and will be easy to find in their Edna Staebler Storm Gear or wearing black! Staff will be waiting for our students and families outside the building in these areas and can help you find your child’s teacher from there. Please see the attached map for our student entry locations. Kindergarten students will be meeting their teachers and designated early childhood educators in our kindergarten play area. If you are unsure of where to go on the first day, please ask, we are more than happy to help you get to the right spot!

Raining? No problem, we have a plan for that. Just head to the marked areas on the map and our fantastic staff will help from there!

We are looking forward to welcoming all our new and returning students on September 3rd.
